here's a rant:
what is up with all of the losers who keep stealing kids?! i mean, honestly, someone has got to be one sick fuck to even think about taking a child from his/her parents...and to take a kid AND molest them AND/OR kill them....omg. it makes me sick! that's gross. how about this little gal in idaho that they just found, shasta groene. that poor kid; the guy killed her whole family, then took her, raped her, killed her brother, and who knows what else. yea, she's alive and physically okay now...but she's scarred for life. there is nothing that could make that little girl's life be back to normal. within like the past year, the number of amber alerts across the states has like tripled! how many kids have been found dead recently? um, a lot. it's one thing when an adult is kidnapped or murdered or raped or just missing--i mean, it's not good...but it's so totally different when it's a kid. why do people do it?!?!
i really have no personal experiance with any of this, but it still REALLY pisses me off every single time that i think/read/hear about it!!! actually, yea, i do. there was a little girl from my church who was kidnapped and raped last year. she was 4 years old. 4 years old!!!!!!!!! (the fucker who did it thought that she was too little to be able to identify him, so he didn't blindfold her or anything; she was able to find and identify him to the police later.)
the first week of daycamp, we were provided with a sexual preditor book. it contains pictures, personal info, and a history of every registered sex offender in the area--it's huge!!!!!! damnit. we also have out daily "visitors" at the pool. they are several (like probably over 25 total) dirty old men who come to watch the kids swim. standing outside the fence watching your kids swimming at camp is normal; sitting there with binoculars or video cameras watching babies swimming isn't. it's sick! knowing that they're looking at me makes me really uncomfortable, but knowing that they're looking at my kids makes me want to rip their heads off!
i am fully in support of that proposed law that would require sex offenders to wear tracking devices. really, simply making them stay so many feet away from schools and daycares isn't a very efficient way of dealing with it. in all honesty, i think that they all should be locked up for life with no parole, but that's not likely to happen. sigh.
wanna get as fired up about this as i am? well, west virginia has over 1,700 registered sex offenders. over 1,700!!!!!!!! that's a lot. and, west virginia is a small state--just think about how many more there are in the country....or in the world, for that matter! it's sick!!!! you can go to http://www.wvstatepolice.com/ to view the west virginia registery with photos, history, etc. i'm sure that the other states have similar sites. anyway, that's one thing that really makes me angry (just so you know.). i think that i'm going to go do something cheery now (like not watch the news!).
