pizza.
pizza: n. flat round base of dough baked with toppings of tomatoes, cheese, onions, etc.
that is what my good ol' oxford has to say about pizza. i have a little more to say about the topic. pizza is not simply a base of dough with some toppings; rather, it is a staple food group, essential to the sustaining of my life. i grew up eating pizza for a meal about 3 times a week on average--and, i still do; if not more often now. yet, i am not sick of it--not even a little bit! pizza is so good! i do believe that is my favourite food, and i sympathize with all of you people who don't eat it at least every other day. remember the little caeser's "pizza! pizza!"? that little guy definately knew what he was talking about. whether it's from a little, local yokal pizza joint or an accredited national chain, pizza is just plain good!
here are the top 10 pizza in the tri-state area:
10. sjhs lunch pizza (every wednesday w/ a chocolate milk!)
9. chuck e. cheese pizza (was it really the pizza, or just the thrill of the visit?!)
8. s'barros pizza ("a slice of cheese w/ a small caeser salad, please")
7. my mom's homemade pizza! (and her breadsticks!!!)
6. defelice brothers taco pizza (i haven't had it in a long time...)
5. pizza hut stuffed crust pizza (not the 3 meat kind, just cheese!)
4. dominos pizza (remember when they had jalapeno sauce?!?? my dad got me an entire case when they discontinued it; i ate it for over a year. i miss it. omg, it was soooo good!!!!)
3. greco's pizza (and, they've got one hot server in there too!;-*)
2. papa john's pizza (yay for some pepperoni that i actually like!)
1. elm grove dicarlos pizza (this needs absolutely no explanation...)
and, here are the bottom 5 pizza's that i've had:
5. little caeser's pizza (st. clairsville, oh)
4. enzio's brick oven pizza (elm grove, wv)
3. wphs lunch pizza (wheeling, wv)
2. frankie's pizza (near mt. vernon, oh)
1. geno's pizza (elkins, wv)
yup. don't eat any of those unless you're going into pizza withdrawal. on the other hand, none of them are totally unedible, so go right ahead and have some if you need it (that is, if you haven't had pizza in at least a week). my dad has supported his family for many years with a pizza business (as has eric's daddy!), so, obviously, it is the best thing ever.
